Brent Stubbins

Brent Stubbins was born in Fairfax County, Virginia.  In 1975, he graduated from Kenyon College, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, with High Honors.  He completed law school at the Ohio State University College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in December 1977.

He is admitted to and has filed a Brief in Opposition in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Tax Court.

He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Muskingum County Bar Association.

He is a Bankruptcy Chapter 7 Panel Trustee, sitting in Zanesville for cases from Muskingum, Guernsey, Coshocton, Perry, Morgan, Noble, and Washington Counties.

His private practice is concentrated in commercial litigation and business formation.

Mark Watson

Mark Watson was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on February 26, 1958. A lifelong resident of Muskingum County, Watson was admitted to the State of Ohio Bar in 1983, the U.S. Federal Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 1985 and the U. S. Tax Court in 1992. Watson attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Political Science and a minor in Economics. Watson then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law and graduated in 1983. While in law school, he was awarded the Order of Barristers, competed on the University of Cincinnati National Moot Court Team, served as an Editor for the Moot Court Program and as a Co-Director of the University of Cincinnati Moot Court Competition.

Watson has been very involved in local volunteer boards for area agencies and organizations. He is Past President of the Zanesville Rotary Club, The Zanesville Downtown Association, The Alfred S. Carr Center, The Zanesville Quarterback Club, The Bishop Rosecrans School Board, The Rosecrans High School Athletic Boosters and the Bethesda Hospital Foundation. He has served as a Deacon and Elder at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zanesville. Watson has also served on the Board of Directors of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, The American Red Cross and the Genesis Healthcare Foundation.

Watson is a member of the Muskingum County Bar Association (Past President), The Ohio State Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (National organization and the Ohio Chapter). He is a member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association and an appointed member of the Estate Planning Trust and Probate Council of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Watson has received the Genesis Community Service Award: two State Awards from The Ohio High School Athletic Association for Exemplary Service and Contribution; the Zanesville Downtown Association Outstanding Downtown Volunteer Award; and the Commitment to Excellence and James E. West Fellow Awards of The Boy Scouts of America for outstanding contributions to the community. Watson is married and has one daughter.

Mark Stubbins

Mark Stubbins was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on November 13, 1957.  Stubbins attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and graduated with a B.S. in Business (Finance) in 1980.   Stubbins attended law school at the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1983.  While in law school, he was awarded the following honors: Order of Barristers; Phi Eta Sigma; Alpha Lambda Delta; Central Region Champion of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition; and Midwest Champion of Giles, Sutherland, Rich Patent Law Competition.

Stubbins was President of the Muskingum County Bar Association in 2006.  Stubbins is currently a member of the Muskingum County and Ohio State Bar Associations, the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  He was admitted to State of Ohio Bar in 1983 and was admitted to U.S. Federal Court and U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, in 1984.

Mark Stubbins practices extensively in the area of criminal defense representation, including all felonies and misdemeanors.  Stubbins also represents persons charged with traffic offenses including DUI, OMVI, and OVI over a multi-county area.  Stubbins also prepares wills and handles most civil litigation cases, including but not limited to, breach of contract, landlord/tenant, real estate matters, and foreclosures, debt collection for creditors, and personal injury cases.

Mark Stubbins is a Past President of The Rotary Club of Zanesville Daybreak.  In addition, he has served on numerous charitable organizational Boards in the Zanesville area.

Michael T. Bryan




Michael Bryan was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on October 10th, 1975.   He was admitted to the State of Ohio Bar in 2001 and The United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2002.  Bryan attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1998.  Bryan attended law school at Capital University Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2001.  Bryan is currently a member of the Muskingum County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association Family Law Committee.

Bryan is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in Family Relations Law.

Bryan serves as a board member with and The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.  He also serves as chairperson of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Muskingum County Bar Association.   He is a Past President of the Zanesville Downtown Association and a past member of the Executive Committee of the Chamber.

Bryan is member of the Rotary Club of Zanesville Daybreak.  He is logistics chair for the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament held in Zanesville annually.  Bryan is a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zanesville.

Bryan is an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for Veterans Benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.  He practices extensively in the area of domestic relations, including but not limited to, divorce, dissolution, child custody, and civil protection orders.  He also practices in the areas of elder law and guardianships.

Bryan is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Kyle S. Witucky

Born in Zanesville, Ohio, Kyle graduated from Zanesville High School in 2002. Kyle continued his education at The College of Wooster, where in 2006 he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Political Science. At Wooster, Kyle was given The David A. Guldin Award in 2006, an honor given to the College's male and female scholar athletes of the year. He was also awarded with an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, a grant given annually to 174 of the nation's top NCAA student-athletes who have excelled academically and athletically.

Upon graduating from Wooster, Kyle attended Capital University Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in May 2010. At Capital, he was an Associate Editor with the Capital University Law Review. His article, Striking the Optimal Balance Point Between National Security and a Free Press: A Model Statute and Call to Congress, was published in the Spring 2010 volume of the Capital University Law Review.

After sitting for the Ohio Bar Examination in July 2010, Kyle was admitted to the Ohio Bar. He is a member of The Ohio State Bar Association and The Muskingum County Bar Association.

James B. Stubbins

James B. Stubbins was born March 19, 1918. Stubbins attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and graduated with a B.S. in accounting on June 10, 1940. Stubbins attended law school at The Ohio State University and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1943. He was admitted to the Bar on March 17, 1943.

Stubbins obtained his Certified Public Accounting certification on July 31, 1952. He also served in the United States Military in WWII where he obtained the rank of Captain. He was a paratrooper and assigned to the 13th and 82nd Airborne Divisions. He also served as an attorney in the Pentagon during the Korean War.

Stubbins is currently Of Counsel. During his career, Stubbins practiced extensively in the area of business law, corporate formation, business taxation, pension and estate planning as well as Chapter 11 Bankruptcy reorganizations.

Stubbins has served as President on numerous charitable organizational boards in the Zanesville area including the Ohio State Library Association, John McIntire Library Board of Trustees, and the Soldiers and Sailors Monumental Association.
